Cancun
offers three great locations for swimming with the dolphins
including the tranquil island of Isla Mujeres just a short
ferry ride away from the bustling Cancun Hotel Zone. If you are staying further south in the Riviera Maya, maybe nr Playa del Carmen or Tulum then there are closer swim with the dolphins locations.
The
two locations currently offering dolphin swims in the
heart of Cancun are the La Isla Aquarium and the Atlantida
operation based at the Wet and Wild waterpark. Isla Mujeres while not in Cancun itself is just a short boat ride away and is my personal favourite dolphin swim location.
Isla
Mujeres
Isla Mujeres is a 3 miles long by 1 mile wide
island located just a 30 minute ferry ride from Cancun.
In addition to the quaint old town with bargain shopping
Isla offers breathtaking scenery and huge powder white
sand beaches. The Dolphin Discovery dolphin center basks
in the crystal clear Caribbean Sea.
Dolphinaris
You might know this location better as Wet and Wild this fun water park
is located almost at the end of the Hotel Zone but still
only a short journey from all major Cancun hotels.

La
Isla Mall
The La Isla location offers a large dolphinarium and aquarium
inside an open air, huge shopping mall thronged with restaurants,
upmaket luxury stores and reasonably priced souvenir shops.

you are staying outside of the Cancun Hotel Zone such
as further south in the Riviera Maya then your best starting
